I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
